You feel overwhelmed, because there’s so much to remember when posing for a Tinder photo. You need to figure out how to put your hands and legs, to show off your physique and accessories, squinch your eye lids to look confident, have your head and body in good angle to the camera, and to top it off, confront feeling just so stupid doing it all.
IG models and hot guys on Tinder make it look so natural, so why can’t you look that natural?
Here’s a master cue that I use myself to avoid needing to focus on every little detail to achieve a candid, good looking Tinder photo.
Take Tens of Photos while Performing an Action
When doing an action, have a friend take as many photos as possible with your equipment. Take a look at what you got, and decide to vary your pose and / or photo angle for the next run. Then repeat the action for 5 or more times, while constantly taking photos. You should end up with 100+ photos at least.
Out of all those photos, you should end up with at least a handful where you look natural and relaxed.
Posing while doing something helps you draw your focus to something else and not think about your awkward posing as much. This often leads to more authentic and relaxed looking pictures, especially when you are starting out being in front of the camera. But it also makes sense to learn how to pose for a camera deliberately, so you can confidently vary your poses and achieve good looking photos every time.
Posing well portrays confidence, but it’s just a small part of a great Tinder photo.
